ABOUT GAINCRAFT

Make the counter conversation the most measured thing in retail.

Retail already measures footfall, conversion, average ticket and attach rate. It has never measured the conversation that produces all four.

Gaincraft exists to change that at every premium counter in America, and then everywhere a sale takes thirty minutes and a person to make it.

HOW THIS STARTED

It began with an observation, not a thesis.

A jewelry chain with forty doors knows its footfall, its conversion by store and by hour, its average ticket, its attach rate, its rent and the value of the inventory in the case. It does not know what was said. Every one of those numbers is the residue of a thirty to forty-five minute conversation that nobody heard.

Gaincraft was not built from a retail thesis. It was built from a narrow observation that holds at every counter we have stood at: the conversation is the product, and it is the only part of the business nobody has ever measured.

PURPOSE

We exist so that selling well stops being a talent and starts being a craft that can be taught.

The commissioned associate is the most consequential and least supported person in premium retail. They carry a conversation worth thousands of dollars. They are given a week of product training, a binder of brand standards, and a monthly number.

The coaching that would actually move that number, delivered on the day it is needed, about a conversation they actually had, does not exist at any scale in this industry. There is no version of it that survives a district of twenty stores.

Gaincraft takes the part of that job that has always been invisible and makes it observable, then hands it back to the person who did it. Not to a file. Not to a ranking. To them, the same day, in one message they can read between customers.

What is left for the manager is judgment, and that is where a floor leader should spend their week. This is a purpose about dignity as much as productivity. Selling at a premium counter is a profession, and Gaincraft treats it as one.

WHAT THIS RULES OUT

If selling is a craft, then the person selling is a practitioner and not a risk to be managed. That single inference is the reason Gaincraft has no leaderboard, no productivity score and no live listening, and the reason it never will.

It is also why we will lose deals. An operator who wants a ranking of their people can buy one elsewhere. We would rather they did.

MISSION

To give every premium retail operator a consented record of what is actually said at the counter, and a daily coaching habit built from it, so the method of the best seller becomes the method of the floor.

Day to day that means four things. We build the playbook from the client's own top performers rather than shipping a template. We deliver coaching to the associate before it reaches a manager. We prove lift by comparing associate cohorts inside one store rather than store against store. And we design the consent architecture before the legal review rather than in response to it.

We measure ourselves on associate open rate, not on seats sold.

VISION

To make the counter conversation a measured, coachable asset in premium retail, starting with fine jewelry in the United States.

Measured asset is a specific ambition and not a slogan. It means that when an operator asks why one door outsells another, the answer comes from the conversation rather than from a theory.

VALUES

Four beliefs, and the first one has a veto.

The first is not negotiable and the other three inherit from it.

Coach, never watch.

We record conversations to teach a skill. The moment a feature helps someone judge a person instead, we have built the wrong thing and we take it out. This value has veto power over a roadmap and over a deal.

The floor decides.

A seat the associate never opens is our failure, not a change-management problem. We report associate open rate before we report seats sold, internally and to the customer.

Coverage over sampling.

We would rather see every conversation and score it honestly than see one and score it perfectly. We refuse features whose only effect is a better-looking sample.

Earned, not claimed.

Every claim is backed by a fact, a number with a definition, or a conversation we actually analyzed. We publish status honestly, including when the answer is Beta or Build.

FOUNDERS

Two people who have sold, and coached people who sell.

Gaincraft's founders built and exited Clientjoy together, and ran customer acquisition, retention and expansion inside DevX, a listed managed-spaces business in India. That history is why two people understand a commissioned floor. It is provenance, not a credential.

Yash Shah

CO-FOUNDER AND CEO

Yash founded and exited Clientjoy, a client-relationship platform for agencies and consultants. He is a Director at DevX, a listed managed-spaces business in India, where he ran customer acquisition, retention and expansion across a distributed sales floor. He has spent most of his working life selling, and coaching people who sell, which is the reason Gaincraft starts at the counter rather than in a dashboard.

CO-FOUNDER AND HEAD OF PRODUCT

Koushikram was Chief AI Officer at DevX and design lead at Clientjoy, which he built and exited with Yash. He owns how Gaincraft behaves: what a conversation is scored against, what an associate sees the next morning, and the consent state that stays visible in the room at all times.
